This workshop provides direct practical experience with the Montessori Materials and is open to Educators, Students and anyone who is interested in learning how to manipulate the Montessori Materials based on Dr Maria Montessori’s Philosophy. Facilitated by a fully qualified and experienced Montessori trainer who will show you how to use the materials, and help you design your own materials book (Montessori album).

    What you'll learn

    This workshop will include opportunities to practice with the materials and to gain the practical knowledge to be able to present the materials in a Montessori Early Childhood Service.

    The Materials covered in this workshop are as follows:

    • Formation of numbers with beads and cards
    • The change game
    • Bank Game – Addition
    • Bank Game – Subtraction
    • Multiplication (Provided)
    • Short division (Provided)
    • Fractions
    • Multiplication with bead bars
    • Strip boards – addition
    • Strip boards – subtraction
    • Multiplication board
    • Unit division board
    • The Stamp Game – addition
    • The Stamp Game – subtraction (Provided)
    • Dot game (Provided)
    • Snake game / black and white beads – addition
    • Snake game / black and white beads – subtraction (Provided)
    • Word problems (Provided)
    • Small Bead Frame (Provided)

    Duration & Scheduling

    This workshop is held on select Saturdays, making it convenient for working professionals and educators. Each session runs from 8:30am – 4:30pm, ensuring ample time to explore, practice, and understand the materials in depth. Each curriculum area is covered over two sessions to ensure all materials are addressed thoroughly.
